The Club

Formed in 2000, Arizona Corvette Racers is a car club that currently has approximately 35 members.  While involved in mostly time trial events, utilizing full road courses, some members also partake in auto crossing events throughout the year.   Track events are ran and operated by organizations like NASA (National Auto Sports Association) and Pro Auto Sports.  In fact, several of our members are high performance driving instructors (HPDE) with the two organizations.

Arizona Corvette Racers is a diverse group of people with a passion for tracking their Corvettes. We track a variety of vettes; everything from a non-modified street Corvette to a highly modified Corvette. The only rule is that it has to be a Corvette.

The Points

As a club we participate in Time Trial events earning points in their respective class. Each Corvette generation will have two classes consisting of the ‘Stock Class’ and the ‘Modified Class’. There will also be an ‘Unlimited’ class to include all Corvette generations and any modifications. Members earn points for their attendance at each of the events as well as for best times for each event in their class. Event results and points will be posted on the web page the week following each event. An awards presentation will be held during the lunch break at the following scheduled ACR points event.

The Tracks

Arizona Corvette Racers operate their vehicles at several of Arizona’s track facilities, including Phoenix International Raceway, Firebird International Raceway, Inde Motorsports Ranch and others.  These are full road courses, not drag strips, which push you and your car to the limits.  Several track records have been set at these tracks by our very own members in their Corvettes.

The Events

We have track events almost every month; typically we have 10-12 events per year. The annual schedule is presented to the members at the annual meeting and then emailed to all members as well as posted on our website. Check out the annual schedule by clicking here .

The Hangout

We are just as happy to share space on the track as we are in each other’s lives. We get together every Wednesday night at The Native New Yorker on Ray Road and 50th Street.

The Arizona Corvette Racers are a family, sharing tools and tips at the track and sharing a beer or a bite to eat off the track. We also get together for parties, meetings, trips and more. For more information on becoming a member, check out the Join ACR page.
